About this experience
The Queensland Bridge Competition is a fun and challenging opportunity for students to test their engineering skills to build the strongest spaghetti bridge to claim a prize.
QUT in partnership with The Engineering Link Group, Engineers Australia, and Queensland Government through the Transport and Main Roads challenge students to build the strongest bridge possible out of store-bought spaghetti and glue. Winners not only take bragging rights but also part of the $2000 prize pool on offer.
Teams will test their bridge designs at multiple locations across Queensland using TELG’s official testing rig, the main testing day is held at QUT Gardens Point campus on Monday 10 August 2026.
