How to get the most out of your Subject Pathway Posters in Subject Selection

These posters work best when they’re everywhere — not tucked away in the careers office. Here are three tried-and-tested approaches that schools are using right now:

• Time them around Subject Selection
  A few weeks before Year 10 students need to lock in their senior subjects, start placing these posters where they naturally gather… near lockers, outside the canteen, in common areas. Focus on the unexpected career connections. When students see that Languages could take them into international relations, or that Food Technology leads to careers in food science and public health, it broadens their thinking right when it matters most.
• Hand them to your subject teachers
  Share the relevant posters with each faculty and encourage teachers to display them in and around their classrooms. When a Biology teacher has the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics posters on the wall, students start connecting their learning to real futures without even realising it.
