Help your students to be job-ready with Ready to Work

The complete the career education program for preparing secondary school students to find, secure, and maintain their first job

Teaching students how to be ready for their first job can be a lot of work each year. That’s why we created Ready to Work – a best-practice structure that’s easy to follow and engaging for students to learn from.

Ready to Work is one of our three Education Programs at Study Work Grow, but it’s the only one that’s independently available for purchase as a stand-alone program. If you would like annual updates as well as many more resources like the Ponder Program (40 weeks of short career education lessons for Years 7-12) or the Career Clusters, it’s worth considering paying a little more and getting an Essentials Membership at school.

The 10 lessons in Ready to Work will make it easy for you to teach:

  • Introduction to job readiness
  • How to find a job
  • Senior Student Panel (OPTIONAL)
  • How to communicate with employers
  • How to apply for a job
  • How to prepare a resume
  • How to complete an interview
  • Mock Interviews (OPTIONAL)
  • How to start working
  • Graduation and Employer Session (OPTIONAL)

By the time you’ve finished these lessons, you will have students that are knowledgeable, confident, and ready to go and find their first casual or part-time job while still at school, or an apprenticeship/traineeship or full-time role upon leaving school.

It’s a complete program with everything you need, including:

  • Full Teaching Guide covering the 10 lessons (7 core lessons, 3 optional lessons)
    • Each lesson includes Learning Objectives, Materials, and Lesson Structure with timings
    • Full teacher slides with teacher notes and videos
  • Student Workbook with activities for supplementing lessons
    • Students can answer in the editable PDF version, or hand-write in the print version
  • Student Certificates
    • Issue beautiful PDF certificates to your students when they successfully complete the program
    • Great for their portfolio/resume/job application

All designed to be super easy to use in any school or educational setting. And most importantly of all, it has been designed by a qualified Career Practitioner for peace-of-mind.
