What’s inside the Would you rather career lesson activity

This engaging game asks students to think about which activities they would prefer and then helps them link these to the six Cadi Clusters.

• Cadi Cluster discovery – with thinking involved, it gets students to actively identify Clusters in real-world actions or tasks

• Self-Identity analysis – by thinking about their personal preferences to a wide range of tasks, they’re reflecting on their career identity

• Late Primary/Secondary students – perfect for students from age 13 to 18, but can be used with earlier years levels with guidance

• Quick to run in a variety of settings  – at 15-20 minutes to run the activity, you can fit it into an existing careers lesson, or extend it into a full-length lesson

This activity helps ground the students in the six (6) Cadi Clusters, helping them to actively think about how the Clusters apply in the world of work. It’s a fun way of reinforcing their knowledge of the Clusters in a relaxed classroom/group setting.

Strengthening their understanding of the Clusters means that students can see the world of work differently, and can show that they can apply this model to multiple different work settings and types. This is great for reviewing their understanding of the Clusters without telling them which Clusters upfront.

How to use the activity

1. Download the two-page activity guide to your device

2. Introduce the six (6) Cadi Clusters to your students so they can see what each cluster is and does.

3. Share the activity sheet with your students in either PDF (to complete on a device) or print out copies for them to fill in their answers manually.

4. Discuss and reflect on their choices – we’ve provided some suggested correct answers, but there’s no official ‘right or wrong’, it’s about getting them to understand and justify their choices.
