In your final year? Tell us about your plans

We’d love to hear about your plans for once school is over, so please take a few minutes to complete the Destination Survey now.
Welcome to 2026!

This year, as with every year, we hope to help our school community with information and tips for making the best of the school year ahead to prepare for whatever is next in your career journey. Some of you are considering work experience placements, others structured workplace learning, and some of you are starting to think about study and work beyond school.

There is a huge amount of information available and we are here to curate and showcase a selection of it in our newsletter, Envision, which comes out each fortnight.

Be sure to come back to this website for much more information and articles on lots of different things to do with studying, working and growing in your knowledge of the world of work.

All the best for 2026!

Especially for our 2025 YR12s

As we come to the end of another year, the Pathways Team at BHCS would like to wish all our graduating YR12s a wonderful summer and all the very best for what comes next! You may be continuing with some part time work, or starting a full time job, you may be relaxing before you start a course, or maybe you are planning an epic GAP Year experience! Whatever you are doing, learn from this experience – try new things and learn as much as you can because learning doesn't stop when high school is finished – it's just a different.

Action without vision is simply passing the time.
Action with vision is making a positive difference."

YR11 Welcome Night

YR11 Welcome Night is being held at 7pm on Tuesday 11th February in the SLC. This is a great opportunity to meet staff who are involved in the VCE and VCE/VM Programs, as well as a member of the Careers and Pathways Team.

Past Student Panel

On Tuesday 11th February, during Wellbeing, YR12 students will be able to hear from past students at our annual Past Student Panel. These alumni will give insights into how they coped during YR12 and tell us what they have been doing since leaving school, and what life is like post school. Look out for an article in the BHCS Newsletter this week about the event.

Welcome to our Pathways Hub!!

Your Pathways and Careers Team are here to stir curiosity into future pathways.  Contact us on pathways@bhcs.vic.edu.au or come and see us in the DC at recess and lunchtimes. The Pathways Office is closed on Wednesdays.

Pathways Night is coming: Wednesday 19th June

We are looking forward to Pathways Night here at BHCS and we encourage all Year 10 Parents and Students to attend to find out more about pathways into VCE and VM.

Pathways Night is also useful for students in YR9 who are thinking about accelerating in a subject – come along and find out what you could study in YR10.

Some useful resources on the Pathways Hub are the Subject Selection Guide (under Latest Guides) and the Subject Selection Calculator (Further Study tab).

We look forward to meeting you on Pathways Night!
